Một đời mệt mỏi tìm nhau
Dòng sông ly biệt chung đau nỗi sầu

Thả hồn trôi mộng tình đầu xót xa

Tìm nhau khắp nẻo người qua
Trái tim cằn cỗi chết già tuổi non
Đêm đêm dõi bóng mỏi mòn
Chợt mơ chợt tỉnh lòng còn mộng du

Đường trần trắc trở thâm u
Con tim khao khát ngục tù đam mê
Tìm nhau giữa chốn sơn khê
Tư bề vắng ngắt ủ ê cõi lòng

Mịt mùng bóng tối mênh mông
Lời tình thôi thúc thoát vòng khổ đau
Dư âm ngày cũ ngọt ngào
Thuở xa xưa ấy tình trao vẫn đầy

Hỡi người người có quanh đây
Cho ta chắp cánh theo mây đến cùng
Gần xa trông cõi muôn trùng
Ngỡ ngàng chỉ thấy một vùng tiêu sơ

Cây sầu kết trái ảo mơ

We have spent a lifetime to tiringly search for each other
And to join our sorrows together by dipping in the farewell river
The cord of the previous predestined love can no longer be for finding
Our souls wander, our first love dream lost and feel the stomach burning
We’ve been searching for each other on all roads where people passing by
Until our hearts wither and in old age and at young time they die
We are gradually wearing out with nightly shadow searching
To be now dreaming now sobering yet our souls are still sleep walking
The road of life has hitches and is mysteriously darkened
While the heart is yearning for the prison of blind passions
In ravine and mountainous areas we are searching for each other earnestly
As it is empty on four sides we feel the heart so sorrowfully

Yet in the misty darkness that is vast in its immensity
The loving words are urging us to escape from the suffering circle earnestly
The resounding voice of previous time still sounds so sweetly
Reminding us of the time when love was given over so totally and fully
Oh my lover, are you here and are you around
To the end and on joined wings let me follow you on the clouds
Yet as I scan near and far over the areas of layers of mountains
I am astounded as I can only see a totally desolate and empty region
A sorrowful tree is having dreamily illusionary fruits in its giving
An old shadow is what I am to have in my unfading worshipping
I am searching for you continuously as day by day is passing by
I hope and have faith as I am constantly missing the old friend of mine
The distant person has suddenly become so close as if beside me
As in the first time of acquaintance I feel fretty and unsettled naturally
And in raising the wicks of the lamps at night so many times
Alas, it is only a simple dream, yet mine has not yet materialized
As a lifetime is so fragile and is only a fleeting moment
I vow that I will search for my other half in my wholesome intention
Minding not the vast oceans and high mountains in regard to you
Since searching means searching eagerly for a whole life through
