Úc châu phượng tím bước vào hè
Sang mùa thầm đợi mừng Năm Mới
Ngóng mãi trông hoài chẳng bóng ve
Ve hỡi mây trời dệt mộng mơ
Thời gian tích tắc đủ mong chờ
Không gian xích lại cho thêm nhớ
Thời khắc phượng về tím ngẩn ngơ

In the mixing of rain and shine I am listening attentively and quietly
To the coming in summer of the Australian purple royal Poinciana trees
As seasons are transitioning I quietly wait to welcome the New Year
And expect eagerly in vain for the figures of cicadas that would come here
O cicadas, the sky’s clouds are weaving the dreams all over
As time is ticking patiently enough for the wait forever
The space seems to be squeezed together to increase the missing
As the purple Poinciana trees’ timing return to deeply daze the bewildering
